Creative Solidarity

Creative Solidarity *
I’ve taken a step back from selling my physical work in the past few years after some serious burnout in an effort to reconnect with my creative self without the pressures of consumption and the influence of an audience. For those that have stuck around since Salvaged Studio, THANK YOU - immensely, cannot express how much this means. For those that are finding me through Pond Daughter, hello and thank you so much for joining! While I don’t yet know what form my future art ‘sales’ will take, I feel an opportunity now to share my work through acts of creative solidarity; we are all bound together in struggle and in liberation - join in the collective fight.
This is done on a sliding-scale and honor system basis; please be kind, as generous as you are able, and share with those who will do the same.
Thank you <3

Reem's Family
Reem, her husband Mahmoud, and their 4 children have been displaced from their home in the Salah al-Din area of Gaza since October 2023. Their home, olive and grape orchards, and chicken farm have been destroyed. They have already escaped death several times as bombings and destruction have followed them, traveling on foot with their children and newborn baby Eid to repeatedly seek safety. Contribute to help them secure safer shelter, food, clothing, and classroom enrollment for their children.
-
Hassan's Family
Hassan, his wife Asma'a, and his immediate and extended family have lost their home and livelihood in Gaza since October 2023; their home, vehicles, and businesses were burned and destroyed beyond repair. Mulitple family members have sustained injuries due to bombings. Hassan cares and provides for his three children as well as his father who is sick and in desperate need of treatment, his mother, and two brothers Mohammed (28) and Ahmed (22) who were both been injured in the bombing of their home. They have experienced repeated loss and devastation as they continue to be displaced across Gaza; escaping death, finding safety, only for it to be ripped away and further separated from family. Contribute to help them secure safe shelter and medical treatment.
-
Astal Family
Majid Al-Astal, and his family of twelve have been displaced from their home and farmland in Gaza since October 2023. Their beautiful home, farmland, and electrical business were bulldozed and burned to the ground by the occupation. Majid and his family, including five children, are trying to evacuate to Turkey through the Rafah crossing. Majid is also in need of retinal surgery so he does not lose an eye. Contribute to help them seek safety, food and papers for evacuation; this is an extremely expensive process, any contribution is life giving.

The Myth of Perfection
No one is born fluent in solidarity. You will mess up. You will be called in. Learn, adjust, keep moving. The places were you have felt "othered" are the cracks in the earth where compassion and healing begin. Let them crack, let yourself crack open.
